Keep last
Every referral beyond the last tier earns the final tier's reward. This is the default and keeps rewarding your best advocates at the top rate.
A flat reward pays the same for the first friend and the twentieth. FlexiTiers let the referrer reward change as a customer reaches new referral counts.
What it is
Each tier covers a range of successful referral counts, and each tier has its own reward type, value, minimum and expiry. When a referrer reaches their Nth referral, BLOOP issues the reward for the tier that N falls into. Tiers change only the referrer reward. The referee's discount stays the same.
You decide what happens after the last tier: keep paying the final reward, stop paying, or loop back to tier 1. You can leave gaps between tiers to reward only milestones. Referrers see their tier timeline in the referral hub automatically.
For your customers
01
The referral counts toward the referrer's total, and the reward for the tier containing referral number 1 is issued.
02
The referral hub shows a tier timeline and what the next referral earns, so progress is visible.
03
When the count enters the next range, the next successful referral earns that tier's reward, which can be a different type.
04
The Referral progress email says what they just earned, which tier they are at and what is next.
05
A rejected referral stops counting toward tier progress if its reward was never issued or was taken back.
For you
Steps follow the BLOOP user guide. Most stores finish setup in about 30 minutes.
Open your referral campaign, go to Referrer reward, and click Add tiers. BLOOP starts you with two tiers. Tiered mode needs at least two.
Read the guide →For each tier set the start and end referral number, then click Edit reward settings to choose its reward. The first tier must start at referral 1 and tiers cannot overlap.
Read the guide →Pick Keep giving last tier reward (default), Stop rewards after final tier, or Loop tiers.
Read the guide →Count all past rewards (default), or start from a date to give everyone a fresh start.
Read the guide →Edit the Referral progress email and use conditional blocks if your tiers hand out different kinds of reward.

Referrals beyond the last tier earn nothing. Use it for milestone programs.
The sequence restarts at tier 1 after the last tier, for recurring promotions.
Leave referral counts outside any tier to reward only milestones such as the 1st, 5th and 10th.
Mix store credit low down with a free product or a custom reward at the milestone.

FAQ
No. Tiers and A/B testing are mutually exclusive, so disable one to use the other. Pick tiers when you want a ladder and A/B testing when you want to compare flat rewards.
Example: tier 1 (referrals 1 to 2) pays $5, tier 2 (3 to 5) pays $10, tier 3 (6 and up) pays $20. A referrer with 8 successful referrals earns 2 x $5 + 3 x $10 + 3 x $20 = $100 in total.
Editing tier ranges does not change rewards already issued. Each order keeps the tier that applied when it was placed.
Keep it simple enough to explain in one sentence. BLOOP's guide suggests three well-spaced tiers beat five granular ones that need a table to understand.
