The program
Happy Hounds runs a double-sided referral program in BLOOP. The customer who refers and the friend they invite each get 20% off.
Results
Since the first referral order in July 2025, the program has produced 66 orders and R97,686 in referral revenue, an average of R1,480 per order.
Of the 70 friends who received the 20% reward, 36 used it (51%). Referral revenue kept growing: in the last six full months (March to August 2026) it reached R44,594 across 39 orders, compared with R38,017 across 13 orders in the six months before.
7 referred friends placed a further 35 orders after their first referral order.
Referral revenue is the total value of orders attributed to BLOOP referrals, excluding cancelled and refunded orders, in South African rand. Figures are current to 29 September 2026.
